Personal Growth for the
MIND
Focus on Opportunites not Problems
Remember to focus on the opportunities in your life, not on the problems. If we focus on our problems they will only get bigger. A good habit to start tomorrow morning is to wake up and look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself ten things you are grateful for (family, health ...). As you begin to form this new habit, you will notice that your focus will begin to shift toward the positive things in your life and away from the negative. Here is a simple, but powerful example of a person on a diet. The more they focus on that big piece of cholocate cake the more they want it. But if that same person were to take a long walk and begin to focus on the beauty around them and how great it feels to be healthy, they will suddenly forget about that piece of chocolate cake. The same holds true for every part of our lives.
We encourage you to train your mind to focus on the wonderful opportunities that are open to all who are looking for them.
